Role and Background
My accountancy journey began at United Biscuits and Cadburys. After these successful roles in industry, my desire was to start my own Accountancy Practice. My dream became real in 2007 and several years later I rebranded and Onyx was born! Why Onyx? Someone told me I was an Accounting Gem! My role has covered everything possible within accounting and finance and I now have a great team behind me that allows my role to build stronger relationships with clients and developing new products and services to support our great and varied clientele.
CLIENT ADVISORS
Our Client Advisors are all fully qualified ACCA accountants and are responsible for supervising, reviewing and submitting all work carried out by their team of Managers and Assistants. All liaise with our clients directly and are on hand to answer any complex queries their clients may have. Client Advisors also play a key role in our Senior Management Team.
Role and Background
In April 2013 I began my Onyx journey initially as part of the Onyx Apprenticeship Program. Under this scheme I was fully supported with my studies and passed my AAT. I then progressed to Client Manager and also started studying for the Chartered Certified Accountants ACCA course. I was promoted to a Client Advisor in September 2019 and passed my ACCA the following year. I am now predominantly based at our Tettenhall, Wolverhampton office and I am the Client Advisor for our clients in this area.
Role and Background
I have been with Onyx Accountants since August 2015. As Client Advisor I am also part of the Senior Management Team, supporting the growth of services offered to our clients. My expertise lies in Management Accounts, Personal Tax, Year End Accounts & Corporation Tax and R&D. I studied Accounting & Finance at Coventry University achieving a 1st Class Honours. Since 2015 I have watched the business grow from a small practice to now servicing 400+ clients and I am very proud to have been a part of this!
Role and Background
I started my journey with Onyx back in 2016 as an apprentice and have worked my way up through various roles resulting in a promotion to Client Advisor in April 2021 . I completed my AAT with Onyx and completed my ACCA qualifications in 2022 which is a massive achievement. I am now a part of the Senior Management Team supporting my colleagues with the day-to-day running of the business as well as servicing my own bank of clients and overseeing my team. I continue to look forward to the new challenges Onyx offer.
Role and Background
I joined the Onyx Team in 2016, starting as an apprentice, then working my way up to my to a Client Manager within Jaysel's team, and now I have completed my exams I have been promoted to Client Advisor. As well as managing my own portfolio I also supervise the apprentices and liaise with the rest of the management team. Now that i am ACCA qualified I am looking forward to continuing my journey in my new role with Onyx.
BUSINESS & PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT
The Business and Practice Development Team form part of our Senior Management Team. The development team are integral to business growth and management of compliance for both client onboarding and internal procedures.
Role and Background
My Onyx journey began in December 2019 and I am based in the Tettenhall, Wolverhampton office. I bring to Onyx my vast experience in accountancy and taxation, along with knowledge in compliance management, sales and marketing.I am part of the Business Development Team with primary focus at practice level, managing direct enquiries and the complete onboarding process of new clients. Responsibilities include full compliance with anti-money laundering regulations, HMRC registrations and internal practice management procedures. I also head up the implementation of new software within the business, liaising with HMRC, local authorities and other partners.
Role and Background
I have been part of the Onyx team since October 2020 and I am predominantly based in the Tettenhall, Wolverhampton office. My role includes networking for new clientele, following up and liaising with prospective clients to gain the information needed to decipher how best we can help their business. I support prospects from the initial introduction call right through to engagement. I also take care of social media, our website, and all marketing and content creation. I have always worked in sales orientated roles but this is my first step into the world of accountancy and I am very much looking forward to facing new challenges working at Onyx Accountants will bring.
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
Our team of Office Administrators help support our Client Advisor pods and Practice Management with the day-to-day admin tasks relating to our clients and the wider business.
Role and Background
I started with Onyx as a Level 3 apprentice in the role of an Accounts Assistant back in March 2022 within Alex's team. I have recently come back to work after having a little girl and joined the Onyx Admin Team. My role is to support the Onyx Team with general administrative requirements as well as liaising with our Advisors to support client admin needs. This is my first administrative role and I look forward to facing new challenges the role will bring.
Role and Background
I am based in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton office and I started my role in April 2024 as practice administrator. My role involves supporting the admin function within the team, this includes supporting our Advisor Teams and Practice Managers liaising across all departments. My previous working roles have always been administrative and customer focused, therefore the skills I have developed over my career have made me the perfect fit for this role.
Role and Background
I joined the team at Onyx in May 2023 as practice administrator to help support the admin function of this fast growing firm. I have previously working within the medical field, but decided I wanted a new and exciting challenge. While I have no background or experience in accounting I have customer service and administrative skills that I am bringing to the table here at Onyx. I support our Advisor Teams liaising across all departments, with primary focus on office administration and internal objectives.
PAYROLL DEPARTMENT
Our Payroll Team are on hand to support our clients with all Payroll and Pension requirements. Our Payroll Manager also plays a key part within our Senior Management Team.
Role and Background
My career journey at Onyx started mid year of 2022 and I tend to travel between the two offices. I have an extensive payroll knowledge having previously worked at different accountancy firms for over 10 years. From manual calculations to payroll processing, auto enrolment pensions, managing and resolving payroll related issues. My role is to lead the payroll team, implement efficient payroll processing and assist clients and the Onyx team with payroll queries.
Role and Background
I have been with Onyx since 2018, and I am married to our wonderful director Paresh meaning I have watched the business grow and develop over many many years. I am currently supporting Jenny as Payroll Administrator within the Payroll Department, which I still do when required. Previously I worked in Canada within the accounts department of a major courier company. I support our Advisor Teams and Practice Manager liaising across all departments, with primary focus on office administration and internal accounts.
CLIENT MANAGERS
Our Client Managers work within our Client Advisor pods, helping to prepare and complete accounts work for their respective clients. They are usually the main point of contact should a client have any queries.

I started with Onyx June 2020 as an Accounts Assistant and have worked my way up to the role of Client Manager within Jaysel's team. My role includes looking after my own portfolio of clients and overseeing the apprentices in my team. It is a very fast-paced environment which I enjoy. I look forward to continuing my studies and seeing how my role with Onyx develops.

I came to Onyx straight from 6th Form and feel like I have already learnt so much in this new work environment. I am eager to get stuck into this great opportunity and watch my job role progress even further!

I have been at Onyx since July 2021 and started out as an an accounts assistant, recently progressing to a Client Manager role within Jaysel's team. I an currently studying for my AAT accountancy qualifications and can’t wait to progress. I definitely feel like I fit in with the fast paced environment here and I look forward to making the most of the opportunity given to me with Onyx.

Previously I had worked in another accountancy practice as an Accounts Assistant for 5 years, after studying AAT qualifications. My role as Client Manager is to support my Client Advisor and look after my portfolio of clients. I am very happy I made the move to Onyx!

I have previously worked in a couple of other accountancy practice and have around 6 years experience in accounting. My role as Client Manager is to support my Client Advisor and look after my portfolio of clients. I am looking forward to seeing my progression with Onyx!
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANTS
Our Accountants Assistance join us from apprentice level and help their respective Client Advisor pods with entry level tasks for on the job learning whilst they complete their studies.
Role and Background
I joined the team at Onyx in October 2021 as an apprentice and my role is an Accounts Assistant within Alex's team. I am working towards my Level 3 qualification and hopefully continue on progressing towards a higher level of Accounting. This is my first accountancy role and I am looking forward my future career here at Onyx Accountants.

I joined Onyx in July 2023 after completing my A-levels in June. As a Level 3 apprentice and my role is Accounts assistant within Alex Harvey's team. I am excited to progress through my apprenticeship and gain hands on experience so I can have a solid footing to develop my career in accounting off of. I am excited to begin this new journey here at Onyx.

I began my apprenticeship with Onyx in September 2022 and have just initiated my career in accounting as an Accounts Assistant within Jaysel's team. I have started my studies towards the AAT qualifications and I have fitted in very well with the team and enjoy the work. I am very excited to make progress within my career at Onyx.

I Started with Onyx in November 2023, as an Accounts Assistant, I have always worked in a Finance and Accounts based environment and love identifying problems and proposing solutions. I am really looking forward to learning new skills and systems and hopefully develop my knowledge further.

I recently joined Onyx as an Accounts Assistant apprentice at the end of July 23, with the aim of gaining higher qualifications and eventually becoming a fully qualified chartered accountant. I am excited to continue this apprenticeship with Onyx Accountants and receive in office experience along side other Qualified Accountants.
